You can use these guides to get started

Which address to provide for my tax return?

This article is for information only and is not tax advice.

This article explains which addresses to enter on the Your Address page in Sprintax Returns, and what to do if your address is about to change.

Which addresses do I enter?

Enter both your US address and your home address in Sprintax. Your home address is your address in your home country.

Why does my address matter?

The tax office sends notices and refund checks to the address on your tax return. Enter an address where you can receive mail.

What if my address is about to change?

The following table shows what to enter in each situation.

Your situationWhat to enter
You live at your US address and will not move soonYour current US address.
You no longer have a US addressAn old US address.
You expect to move soon and do not know your next addressChoose one of two options. Wait until you know your next address before you file. Or enter the US address of a friend or relative who can receive your mail.

If you wait, file before the tax deadline. Do not miss the deadline while you wait.

What if I move after I file?

Tell the IRS about your change of address. You can use IRS Form 8822, Change of Address, to do this.
