The Itemized deductions on your Federal tax return include State and Local taxes paid from your income documents and all expenses reported in Step 4 - Offset your expenses.
Please note that if you are a resident of India who is a student or a business apprentice and you have used your tax treaty, you would not have Itemized deductions since your tax treaty allows you to use the Standard deductions instead.
