If you have had no US income, please go back to Step 2 Getting to know you, sub-step About you and select ‘No’ for question 'Did you have US income (wages, scholarships, or other payments) in 2024?' That will allow you to skip Step 3 Let's talk money.
If you had US income, please confirm with your employer if they will issue an income document for the income you received. If the income was an award or commission for self-employment work and the payer will not issue an income document, you can select 'Letter of payer' and report your income under the 'Other income' sub-step of Step 3 Let's talk money.
Important: If you only have a 1098-T form or a scholarship/grant awarded for the purpose of covering your tuition fees (tuition waiver), you should not report it as US income. These type of payments are not reportable and not taxable for nonresidents for US tax purposes.
