What is Form 8283?

Form 8283, published by the IRS is used to report noncash charitable contributions. This type of non-monetary contributions include any types of goods, clothes, electronics, books, supplies etc.

If you have made monetary donations via cash, check, debit/credit card, other payment methods or tithe, you do not need to prepare form 8283.

You can find more information on the IRS website here.

Info: If your charitable donations are more than $500, you must complete and attach Form 8283 to your tax return. Sprintax does not support this form but if you contact our customer support team, we can arrange off-line preparation of this form for you.
